I’m an investor relations & communication guy at Fastned. I believe in sustainable innovation and space exploration. I like to think and write about big solutions which are necessary for the huge challenges of the 21st century. Besides my work I write a book about cleantech entrepreneurs and new sustainable business models in Germany, The Netherlands, Silicon Valley and China. Sometimes I contribute to the newspaper NRC next. In 2011 I traveled through the Horn of Africa and wrote a book about the experience, portraying historical travellers and the culture of tourism. In 2013 I wrote another book about the psychology driving consumer behaviour and economic growth in wealthy societies (and how I stopped worrying and learned to love green growth). I studied Philosophy and Law at the University of Leuven and the University of Amsterdam and completed an LL.M. in International Environmental Law at Nottingham University; researched, worked and taught in the field of (European and international) environmental law and worked at the think tank of the Dutch Green Left party.
